## About the Role

Data Center Engineering, Virtual Environments, VMware, 10 + years of related experience, * Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance. A TS with SCI eligibility is also acceptable.

 * Required Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in operating computer systems.
 * Experience in engineering data center.
 * Broad experience with virtualized environments, and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities.
 * Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels.
 * Experience and Knowledge of some of the following: Windows Server, VMware, and a variety of system level applications.
 * Familiarity and or experience with cloud-based services and environments (e.g., MS Azure and AWS DevOps environment, Kubernetes, clusters, containers. etc.)
 * Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE required. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications preferred. Position
 * Education: BS Degree in technical discipline.

## Description

As a Systems Engineer the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.

 * Plans, designs, and implements various systems by conducting market research, evaluates new technologies.
 * Interfaces with Contractor and Government personnel, confers with equipment and software vendors, and directs subordinate personnel to take appropriate courses of action.
 * Coordinates and implements security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation - risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process.
 * Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in cloud service and relevant application and system technologies.
 * Also, responsible for writing, editing, and preparing graphical presentations of technical information.
