This role requires strong collaboration with partner organizations, sound laboratory practices, and a clear understanding of safety requirements. The successful candidate will be eager to build expertise in optical spectroscopic measurement (Near Infrared, Mid infrared, UV-Vis, Raman spectroscopy) for the analysis of solids and liquids. Experience applying these techniques to drug product analysis, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated environment, would be advantageous., * Interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multidisciplinary team and thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and effective interpersonal and communication skills are required. * Scientific curiosity and the ability to pick up new skills will be critical to progress in this role., * Bachelor's degree in chemistry with an emphasis on analytical chemistry or other relevant physical sciences, + 2-5 years industry experience., * Master's Degree with 0-3 years of experience with an emphasis on analytical chemistry or other relevant physical sciences. * Effective communication skills * Ability to meet project milestones under general supervision, manage expectations for specific projects, ensure delivery of technology/transfer/submission-ready technology, data and documents. * Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, especially adherence to laboratory notebook practices. Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements) * Prior knowledge/experience of using optical spectroscopic techniques (Raman, FTIR, NIR, UV-Visible) and applying them in lab and/or manufacturing environments would be highly valued for this role. * The ability to use computational predictive tools, modelling software or data visualization tools. * Experience in problem-solving and instrument troubleshooting. * Understanding or experience with quantitative spectroscopic method measurements and chemometrics.
