You'll own marketing/brand design as well as lead product design for the growth squad, from early concepts through shipping, and your work will shape the community experience for both web and mobile native. The "Engineer" in this title is intentional. AI is collapsing EPD roles, and we expect all roles to ship code. That means leading with prototypes instead of Figma for most features, visual QA directly in the codebase, and the ability to ship features independently. This role requires low ego - all members of the team will contribute to UX Design, just as you'll contribute to product & engineering. You'll work closely with our one other Design Engineer and report directly to the Chief Product Officer. What you'll do * Own brand and marketing design - landing pages, growth experiments, and creative assets (as needed). * Lead product design for your squad - working closely with Product on discovery, flows, high-fidelity UI, and handoff (across web and mobile). * Build high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted tools that communicate intent clearly enough to reduce back-and-forth with engineering. * Do visual QA in code - inspect, redline, and fix implementation gaps directly in the codebase. * Ship features independently when scope allows, using our component library and design system. * Contribute to and evolve our design system and component library so the whole team moves faster. * Collaborate closely with your PM, growth marketer, engineers, and the broader product team to move from insight to launched feature quickly., * Your work will be seen by 85,000+ clinicians and growing, helping clinicians make some of the most important career decisions of their lives. * Join before the team scales and make the most of the equity, scope, and ownership that come with being early. * A mission that actually matters: helping every clinician thrive in their career. ## Related Videos - [Designing the Future of Human<>Agent Collaboration](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1447-designing-the-future-of-human-agent-collaboration) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [GraphQL + Apollo + Next.js: A Lovely Trio](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/311-graphql-apollo-next-js-a-lovely-trio) - [Designing high quality software with AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100136-designing-high-quality-software-with-ai) - [Fireside Chat with Kris Rasmussen, CTO at Figma](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/982-fireside-chat-with-kris-rasmussen-cto-at-figma) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 130 - The Diablo is in the details](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/470-dev-digest-130-the-diablo-is-in-the-details) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 133 - Back to Front](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/474-dev-digest-133-back-to-front)
