## About the Role

* Active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
 * H.S. Diploma or GED
 * IAT Level II (Information Assurance Technical) or higher DOD 8140 under specialty area 45(Security+) within 60 days of start.
 * Five (5) years of experience with demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
 * Demonstrated ability to: plan or schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software; manage accounts, access to systems and equipment; maintain systems configuration; and manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates and enhancements.

Desirable

 * Experience with Linux

RMC is hiring an IT Lab Systems Support Specialist to support our customer in Dahlgren, VA.

The selected applicant will:

 * Provide customer support in installation of IT Hardware/Software to support lab simulation launching kinetic weapons from various platforms.

 * Configure IT Hardware and Software in lab to support customer needs.
 * Perform routine maintenance tasks such as upgrading hardware/software and installing required patches to ensure optimal performance of lab equipment.
 * Conduct operational tests on lab equipment to ensure system availability and reliability.
 * Conduct required troubleshooting procedures of IT hardware and software to maintain availability of lab equipment.
 * Manage account access to lab equipment.
 * Maintain detailed records of hardware configurations, troubleshooting steps, and other relevant information.
 * Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
