## Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Database Developer to support a healthcare research organization on a short-term Contract assignment based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is focused on hands-on PostgreSQL development and is best suited for an experienced specialist who brings deep database expertise rather than generalist application experience. The engagement will contribute to an active project and requires someone who can deliver quickly in a fully remote environment., Design, build, and refine PostgreSQL database solutions that support project goals within a healthcare-focused research setting.
Create and optimize database queries, stored objects, and related structures to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall performance.
Evaluate existing database environments and recommend practical enhancements for scalability, monitoring, and day-to-day operations.
Support database administration activities, including performance tuning, mirroring considerations, and operational stability across cloud or hosted platforms.
Partner with project stakeholders to translate technical needs into effective database designs and development deliverables.
Contribute to database migration or environment change efforts when needed as part of the active project scope.
Use tools such as pgAdmin and related PostgreSQL utilities to troubleshoot issues, manage objects, and maintain database health.
