 * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
 * Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies to support business growth.
 * Comfort operating in a fast paced, evolving business environment.

## Description

* Own the company's overall technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
 * Lead and scale the engineering organization, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
 * Partner directly with the CEO and executive team on technology decisions that support company growth.
 * Oversee the architecture, reliability, and scalability of the e-commerce platform and supporting systems.
 * Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, deployment, and infrastructure standards.
 * Manage technical risk, including system security, data protection, and platform uptime.
 * Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools that improve platform performance and customer experience.
 * Own the technology budget, including infrastructure costs, tooling, and team resourcing.
 * Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
 * Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and partners.
 * Establish clear engineering processes and communication cadences across the organization.
 * Represent the technology function to the board and other stakeholders as needed.
 * Anticipate future scaling needs and proactively address technical debt and infrastructure gaps.
