Considerable knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems, Active Directory, AWS, Azure, and cloud environments. Considerable experience managing multiple IT efforts in a constantly changing environment. Considerable knowledge of IT Help Desk queue management. Considerable experience with IT Services provided in a complex, multi-vendor environment. Considerable knowledge spearheading projects and architecting complex IT solutions. Working knowledge interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations. Experience in meeting deadlines. Experience with internal/external stakeholders. Considerable IT infrastructure services experience in a myriad of IT functions. ## Description The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the IT Operations Engineer in the Information Management Division. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: The IT Operations Engineer provides technical services to include IT operations, end user support, infrastructure and server management, asset management, projects, and internal DMAS agency specific application support. This position will be responsible for providing IT project leadership and architecting solutions for operational support, geared towards meeting the goals of the IT Services Team and the Information Management Division. This position serves as a resource to the Agency IT Resource (AITR) by collaborating with multiple vendor resources and meeting all security policies, guidelines and standards for any effort related to the general scope of IT activity within DMAS. This position is administrative in nature and does not have physical requirements other than normal office work. The business needs for this position have in office requirements to include but are not limited to internal and external stakeholder meetings and training. Located in beautiful Central Virginia, the Richmond area puts you just 2 hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia Beach and Washington DC.
