This program provides critical current and future capabilities in the form of total life cycle support management (cradle to grave) for the F/A-18A-D Hornet, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18 G Growler weapons systems. PMA-265 is responsible for acquiring, delivering, and sustaining the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft, ensuring mission success for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aviators, as well as international partners to include Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain and Switzerland. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: * Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems. * Reviews and prepares project directives, contract deliverables, detail specifications, test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), contractor design approaches and results of contractor development testing to obtain an overall background and to identify possible integration problem areas. * Prepares project correspondence such as test plans, technical reports, letters, and memorandums. Establishes and maintains communication with project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM officials, competency management and IPT team members. * Serves as PMA-265 Systems Engineering representative during participation at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, mockup reviews, seminars and symposia.
