This is an excellent opportunity to support critical Department of Defense (DoD) missions while working alongside a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals. As the ISSO, you will serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor for assigned information systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems and data. You will provide guidance on cybersecurity and information assurance requirements, ensuring security controls are properly implemented and aligned with DoD policies, system architectures, and network configurations., The ISSO will: * Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity, cyber engineering, and information assurance * Provide technical guidance and actionable recommendations to senior leadership to support cybersecurity objectives and mission success * Communicate complex technical and security concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Identify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues, implementing proactive solutions to minimize operational impact * Support the implementation, assessment, and maintenance of RMF security controls throughout the system lifecycle * Collaborate with program management, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security policies and mission requirements * Support government and industry program activities, including occasional travel to customer and contractor locations as required * Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous process improvement and mission success, Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen.
