Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Preferred Skills and Experience: * Experience supporting federal government cybersecurity programs. * Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives. * Experience with vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools. * Familiarity with AWS cloud services and security controls. * Experience supporting enterprise logging, monitoring, observability, or SIEM platforms such as Splunk. * Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar cybersecurity certification. * Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO), risk management, or compliance initiatives., * A valid photo ID must be presented during each interview * During the Hiring Process * Enhanced Biometrics ID verification screening * Background check, to include: * Criminal history (past 7 years) * Verification of your highest level of education * Verification of your employment history (past 7 years), based on information provided in your application ## Description GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support enterprise observability, cloud modernization, and security compliance initiatives supporting critical federal operations. This position is responsible for supporting security assessments, compliance activities, application onboarding, vulnerability remediation, access management, and cloud migration efforts across enterprise environments. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer works closely with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure systems meet security requirements and operational standards. This position will be fully remote within the United States., The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer supports security compliance, risk management, and operational security activities across enterprise systems and applications.
