 * Experience with end-to-end workflows/projects
 * 3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
 * 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation

Desired Skills:

 * Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience
 * Demonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
 * Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
 * Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
 * A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
 * Jupyter Notebooks, Network Analysis Tools

## Description

PLEX Solutions, A Part of Markon, is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to support a contract in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

 * Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
 * Plans and leads major technology assignments.
 * Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
 * Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
 * May supervise others

Responsibilities

 * Develop and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for enterprise AI applications including defining appropriate data model concepts
 * Develop high-performance data parsers for extremely large and complex datasets
 * Implement and manage various database systems, including graph, SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases
 * Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and optimize data access and retrieval for AI models
 * Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data storage solutions
 * Support the deployment and maintenance of AI applications by providing expert data engineering capabilities
 * Familiarity with AI concepts in the context of data storage, access, and retrieval
 * Continuously optimize data infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability
