As an Associate Software Engineer, a typical day might include the following: * Applying machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to solve real-world problems. * Designing and building software systems that integrate machine learning models into production systems and day-to-day workflows. * Implementing end-to-end model development workflows, including fine-tuning models, training custom models from raw data, and deploying models to production environments. * Ingesting, cleaning, and transforming large datasets using database systems, applying standard data preparation techniques and thoughtfully managing and optimizing compute resources. * Using robust mathematical tools across diverse areas of research to apply creative solutions to technical problems. * Researching advanced topics and systematically and scientifically testing new ideas. * Supporting SEL's software development process. * Verifying that software meets requirements. * Providing support to engineering staff as needed. * Following engineering quality assurance procedures. * Continuously identifying, measuring, and improving processes. * Understanding.
