Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 9 years with High School Diploma

Technical Expertise:

 * Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5 network hardware and software.

 * Strong understanding of routing, switching, load balancing, and wireless technologies.

 * Proficiency in VPN technologies, TIC connectivity, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

Certifications:

 * CCNA or equivalent certification recommended; higher-level certifications (CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, F5-CA) are a plus.

Other Skills:

 * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

 * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 * Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

## Description

* Network Operations & Maintenance:

 * Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and load balancers.

 * Ensure optimal performance and availability of network services across a nationwide footprint.

 * Support and maintain VoIP solutions to ensure reliable voice communication across the organization.

 * Service Management:

 * Support and maintain VPN connectivity for remote users and secure communications.

 * Manage internet connectivity via TIC (Trusted Internet Connection) and ensure compliance with security standards.

 * Maintain and optimize cloud connectivity with AWS and Azure environments.

 * Oversee high-speed connectivity through ESNet for critical applications and data transfers.

 * Incident Response & Support:

 * Provide 24x7 support for network-related incidents and outages, including on-call rotation.

 * Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime.

 * Configuration & Deployment:

 * Configure and deploy network devices and services, ensuring adherence to best practices and security policies.

 * Implement changes and upgrades to network hardware and software as required.

 * Documentation & Compliance:

 * Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and configuration records.

 * Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for network security and performance.
