Qualifications We Prefer: + Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is highly desired within a year. + We ideally need someone with Cisco ISE experience with 802.1X, SolarWinds, and setting up client server environments for government networks. + Experience with current cabling and fiber standards. + Experience with access control list, security posture, and vendor best practices. + Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities. + 1-2 years of experience with network management software. + Willingness and availability to travel domestically as needed. + Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of encryption devices. + Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications. + Experience with platforms such as IP telephony, NTP servers, GemOne, and SolarWinds. + Ability to work under time constraints. + Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes + Current DoD Top Secret level security clearance ## Description + Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network + Work in developing technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors etc. + Work with network management software platforms. + May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings aligning with future requirements factoring in redundancy and required network uptime. + Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation.
