Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software is a plus. * Infrared Industry Experience: Prior experience with IDCA manufacturing, Dewar fabrication, or infrared sensor packaging is highly desirable. * Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance ## Description As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in High Vacuum and Cryogenic Systems, you will own, optimize, and scale the critical vacuum processing and bakeout lines for our IDCA production. You will bridge the gap between design engineering and production, driving process reliability, yields, and throughput while ensuring the integrity of our ultra-high vacuum (UHV) and cryogenic systems. * Process Ownership & Optimization: Design, characterize, and optimize vacuum bakeout, pinch-off, and cryogenic processing procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, and maximize yield for IDCA production. * Diagnostics & RGA Analysis: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) instrumentation. Analyze mass spectra to monitor outgassing, evaluate gas composition, establish process baselines, and detect trace contaminants or virtual leaks. * Equipment & Tooling Engineering: Specify, source, and integrate advanced high-vacuum hardware (turbomolecular, cryopumps, ion pumps, dry scroll pumps) and helium leak detectors. Design custom tooling, fixtures, and vacuum manifolds (using CAD/SolidWorks) to improve manufacturing ergonomics and throughput. * Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA): Lead troubleshooting and engineering investigations for complex system-level failures, vacuum degradation, or thermal performance issues. Implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). * Sustaining Engineering & Documentation: Author, update, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process routers, and manufacturing work instructions. Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor critical vacuum parameters and equipment health. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Quality, and Facilities teams to design cleanroom-compatible processes (ISO 5/Class 100), execute equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), and transition new products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing., To ensure your safety and help you navigate your job search with confidence, please keep the following critical points in mind: * No Financial Requests: Anduril will never solicit payment or demand personal financial details (such as banking information, credit card numbers, or social security numbers) at any stage of our hiring process. Our legitimate recruitment is entirely free for candidates. ## Related Videos - [Data Science in Retail](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/586-data-science-in-retail) - [TresJS a new declarative ThreeJS as Vue components](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/543-tresjs-a-new-declarative-threejs-as-vue-components) - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [Data Science on Software Data](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/162-data-science-on-software-data) - [Cross platform Augmented Reality development with React Native](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/160-cross-platform-augmented-reality-development-with-react-native) - [The Billion Dollar Machine: First Time Right.](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/393-the-billion-dollar-machine-first-time-right) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Data Engineer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/253-data-engineer-salary-uk) - [Now is the time for industrialized software development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/601-now-is-the-time-for-industrialized-software-development)
