Experience in 1D-2D integrated modeling such as FLO-2D, PC SWMM, and InfoWorks ICM is a plus. * Passion for water resources, and environmental stewardship, and public service, * Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. * Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional engineering work experience after obtaining a Professional Engineering (PE) license. (Some positions may require experience in a specific engineering area) * Education/Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for experience requirements. * License/Certifications: + Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. + Requires registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) by the Colorado State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers at the time of application. Registration in another state will be accepted in lieu of this requirement, provided that the applicant has Colorado registration at completion of probation. + Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment. ## Description * Perform project management work by managing, coordinating, and directing large, complex, multi-disciplinary capital improvement projects including through project initiation, development, plan production/execution, and closing/maintenance and project coordination with city departments, elected officials, affected community and business organizations, and other internal/external stakeholders. * Engage and collaborate with other city agencies, outside governmental municipalities and regional partners, business and/or community groups, the public, and other stakeholders, as needed. * Coordinate alignment with internal DOTI departments and other city agencies, including DOTI Right-of-Way Services (ROWS), DOTI Wastewater Operations, Denver Parks and Recreation, and Community Planning and Development (CPD). Partner with agencies that may include Mile High Flood District (MHFD), Metro Water Recovery, Denver Water, and other governmental entities. * Provide technical input and guidance to support other internal City projects while leveraging and advocating best practices to further enhance Denver's sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems. * Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations. * Conduct quality assurance and quality control on deliverables, as well as perform reviews of work performed by others to ensure accuracy and completeness, standard of care, and compliance with design criteria and standard practices. * Engage and collaborate with other city agencies, outside governmental municipalities and regional partners, business and/or community groups, the public, and other stakeholders, as needed * Coordinate alignment with internal DOTI departments and other city agencies, including DOTI Right-of-Way Services (ROWS), DOTI Wastewater Operations, Denver Parks and Recreation, and Community Planning and Development (CPD).
