Ability to: decompose problems into constituent parts; interview users to identify needs; make decisions and use independent judgment (independently choose appropriate action after reviewing alternatives); test and validate systems. ## Description The Client Services Web Team, within Governors Technology Office, is recruiting a full stack developer, to be located in our Carson City, NV office, to support over 100 state agency public facing websites. The team assists other state agencies in creating and modifying websites via a content management system. Incumbents will use industry standard tools and languages to create new CMS features to enhance State of Nevada websites. As an Information Technology Professional, incumbents analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify In-House, Vendor Created and For Purchase (COTS) applications. Incumbents perform journey level application developer duties including full SDLC processes, maintenance, and application enhancements. Incumbents will perform all duties in conformance to the GTO Division's application development standards. The following platforms and languages are used by the Web Team: .NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ubuntu, php, and MSSQL., Conduct detailed alternative analyses and determine end-user requirements through consultation with end-users, technicians, vendors, management, and others. Maintain documentation related to the assigned IT specialization's architecture, operations, and other records of work activities as required. Maintain current knowledge of technological trends and advancements in the IT field as well as security management practices, laws, policies, and ethics. Participate in recommending and justifying resource allocations and expenditure decisions, tracking, and recording expenditures, preparing purchase requests, and writing technical requirements for grant proposals. Perform related duties as assigned. Under general supervision, incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower-level IT staff as assigned.
