## About the Role

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent preferred
 * 1+ years demonstrated experience with IT field support on computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs
 * Well versed with Ricoh printers and laptop troubleshooting, with proficiency in Windows 10/11/Server 2008; Citrix systems
 * Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users a must
 * Must be able to work on-call one (1) week per month, including weekends and holidays
 * Must have valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
 * Must be able to pass all onboarding requirements including background, drug, MVR, etc.
 * Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Monahans TX, to be considered, * IT Field Support Technician: 1 year (Required)

## Description

G.I.S. is seeking a skilled IT Field Support Technician to join a highly sought after Oil & Gas client. This role will provide technical support for computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 * Provide exceptional IT field support by troubleshooting technical issues related to software, hardware, and network issues in an oil & gas environment
 * Act as first line of computer support while working with other IT staff on more complex problems
 * Troubleshoot Laptops, while working in Windows 10/11/Server 2008 environment; troubleshoot Ricoh printer issues, Citrix systems
 * Research and deploy new equipment and technologies
 * General knowledge of active directory and managing users
 * Provide technical support to end-users
 * Work special projects as needed
 * Travel to assigned field locations as needed
 * Work on-call one (1) week per month
