This role works across the full stack - from single-page application front ends to secure RESTful API micro-services - supporting a large enterprise system., * 10+ years of experience in modern software development, with solid understanding of designing, building, deploying, and running applications * Combined experience building web applications with modern technologies: Node.js, React.js, Redux, Mobx, Flux, TypeScript, Bootstrap * Extensive senior-level full-stack development experience with Node.js and React.js, including detailed understanding of UI frameworks, back-end architecture patterns, and Node module capabilities * Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks/technologies such as React.js, Express.js, Redux, or Flux.js * Strong development experience building RESTful web services using Node.js * Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile processes, plus TDD/BDD and ceremonies (scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives, demos) * Strong skills in complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, and problem resolution within open-source applications * Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate complex technical details into clear language for non-technical stakeholders * Ownership of code quality and deliverables across design, development, and testing * Expertise writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL * Experience working on a large team, including managing/resolving merge conflicts and coordinating upstream/downstream dependencies * Ability to mentor team members on Node.js and React technologies Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills * HTML/CSS creation and manipulation * Other JavaScript frameworks/tools: Express, Restify, Hapi, Sails, JOI, Moment, Axios, Knex * Agility Application Lifecycle Management tool * Jenkins and Continuous Integration * Databases such as PostgreSQL and search tools such as Solr * Standards & protocols: XML, XSLT, WSDL, JSON * Testing tools: Mocha, Chai, Jest, Sinon, Supertest, Enzyme, NYC, Selenium, Load Runner, ESLint * Source control and code review via Git and Bitbucket (pull requests) * IDEs such as VS Code * Knowledge of SonarQube, Black Duck, Phabricator, Gerrit, Karma, Jasmine * Performance tuning and efficiency improvements for large enterprise systems * Knowledge of SAFe methodology * DevOps process implementation experience * Cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services * NGINX web server * Message services such as MQLight * Caching tools such as Redis or ElastiCache * Experience leveraging AI models to generate accurate, high-quality code and increase development velocity ## Description * Architect, design, code, and implement next-generation web applications using Node.js, React.js/Redux for the SPA front end, and a Node.js API framework (RESTful APIs, Express, Knex) * Work within a modern DevOps toolchain (Jenkins, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, SonarQube, UrbanCode) * Provide expertise in rich SPA modular user interfaces, secure RESTful API micro-services, and UX/accessibility standards (Section 508 / WCAG / USDS Web Standards) * Investigate and repair application defects across any layer -
