This role supports applications developed by the Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis, enabling collaborative, interactive web mapping tools for research and project initiatives. Among the key duties of this position are: * Serves as the lead for upgrading and maintaining the Esri ArcGIS Server environment within the Rutgers Virtual Machine Network to ensure reliable delivery of web-based geospatial services. * Works with the GIS Coordinator for implementation, production, and republishing of web services, specifically for the larger spatial data sets, and to perform testing throughout the process. * Provides knowledge support for project and computer system hardware and software needs. This includes summarizing technical information for communication with Rutgers IT for upgrading remote desktop capabilities and backup systems, and software upgrades as needed, extent to be determined in the timeframe of work. * Communicates progress, status, needs, and the schedule of work as needed with the CRSSA Director and GIS staff to ensure limited disruptions with ongoing project activities., Position Status Part Time Working Hours Up to 19.5 hours per week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
