Key responsibilities include handling trading and operational activities before deadlines, maintaining internal systems and providing operational support to internal partners. Job expectations include maintaining a high degree of accuracy with customers and data to ensure compliance with regulations and policies., Within Operations, the Trade Control function offers operational support and expertise to the Sales and Trading Desks, such as Credit, Rates, Mortgages and Equity. Trade Control is a team of specialists primarily responsible for the implementation of industry initiatives, exception management, trade reconciliation, clearing and etrading management. Trade Control's internal business partners include Front Office, Technology, Strategists, Controllers, Credit Risk, and other Operations teams. Some functions within Trade Control are also externally facing in respect to managing client queries and novations. Line of business counterparts include institutional clients and broker dealers. Regulatory reform and clearing have a direct impact to the daily support functions and specifically Trade Control members will be exposed to industry led initiatives as they unfold. The role does not require specific product knowledge, however it is considered an advantage. The individual requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team and in a fast paced environment. The qualified candidate will look to succeed in industrialization efforts in order to enhance our processes and strategize our workflows. This specific role will be focused on the Trade Control functions supporting the Global Credit Trading Desk with a focus on Credit Derivative products including Single Name CDS, CD Index, CD Tranche and CD Index Options. This role will support daily trade flows, lifecycle event management, reconciliations, reporting, regulatory initiatives, clearing and compression workflows across products., * Performs set-up and maintenance of core data across client, account, instrument, and agreement data, and oversees data quality within key data platforms * Ensures transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner * Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management * Conducts daily monitoring of client trading activity across multiple markets, servicing clients' needs * Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties, including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks * Performs tasks accurately during high volume periods in a team environment * Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner * Direct face off to the business and partnership with the various stakeholders to strategically deliver on GMO/ business requirements and the evolving market environment as necessary * Work closely with the Trading Desk to support the business and perform Trade Control responsibilities such as - * Trade Validation - Timely and accurate management of trade capture process to ensure all trades are booked according to terms of underlying agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications * Provide support to assigned trading desks - Support the Trading desk across all Trade Control related functions in a timely and accurate manner * Ongoing Trade maintenance - Manage trade lifecycle events & perform trade amendments as required * Investigate and resolve breaks - Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (e.g. Cash, Collateral, Valuations, Documentation etc) * Production of daily reports - Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk, business partners and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail) * Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with Front Office, Risk and Finance to resolve issues in a timely manner * Resolving client issues - Working with Sales and Client Management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved. * Credit Default Event - Manage and Process Credit Events working with Front office, Technology and P&L to execute successfully. * Resolve queries - Investigate any issues raised to the team, liaising with Front Office, Back Office and/or the client as necessary. * Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners * Involvement in ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives, Bank of America and its affiliates consider for employment and hire qualified candidates without regard to race, religious creed, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, protected veteran or disability status or any factor prohibited by law, and as such affirms in policy and practice to support and promote the concept of equal employment opportunity, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and municipal laws.
