May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. The Network Security Engineer provides cybersecurity and network defense support to U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures across mission-critical environments. This role executes network security maintenance activities, configures physical and virtual firewalls, and ensures secure network operations in accordance with DoD and SOCOM security policies. The engineer supports the customer's Security Officer, develops compliant security configurations, and enhances the resilience, performance, and protection of networked systems supporting SOCOM missions.
