With safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our factory also does its part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal and more. This plant location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta-an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast, and together, we contribute to the growth of businesses and population, building the city's strong logistics, entertainment and film, and health services industries., As a Controls Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing the accuracy, reliability and system control's data credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on production equipment, and work directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications.

 * Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
 * Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory
 * Provide electrical and programming support on plant capital projects
 * Implement control systems software upgrade
 * Provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff
 * Assist with training of maintenance personnel
