Veeam preferred. * Experience with change management. * Experience leading projects from inception to completion. * Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, clients and business partners desired. ## Description The Sr. System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the organization's servers, network, storage, and cloud infrastructure. This role leads the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. The Sr. System Administrator monitors and optimizes system performance, implements and maintains security controls, and ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards. This position also provides high-level technical support, develops and maintains system documentation and standards, and mentors other IT staff to build overall team capability., * Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. * Manage and maintain the organization's servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V), and network infrastructure. * Set up and administer large file servers in clustered environments, including permissions design and access structures. * Monitor system and network performance to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and reliability; proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues. * Develop, implement, and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies and procedures, including enterprise Veeam backups. * Administer and support Microsoft Azure services and related cloud platforms (e.g., Entra ID, O/M365, Exchange Online, and other Azure-based services). * Administer and support Active Directory, including forests, domains, organizational units, groups, accounts, DFS, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy. * Experience in design, configuration, and ongoing administration of the organization's network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs), ensuring secure, reliable connectivity and optimal performance across all sites. * Ensure infrastructure systems, configurations, and processes align with applicable cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2). * Implement and maintain technical controls required for CMMC Level 2, including access control, logging/monitoring, configuration management, and incident response capabilities. * Participate in internal and external compliance activities, including audits, evidence collection, system security plan (SSP) maintenance, and POA&M remediation. * Analyze complex business needs and recommend, design, and implement technical solutions to meet organizational objectives. * Document system requirements, architecture, configurations, standards, and procedures;
