This role will contribute heavily to the buildout and iteration of LeafLink's existing and emerging product surfaces - owning complex frontend features while also building the Python services behind them. As LeafLink gears up to tackle a large-scale platform overhaul, this role helps shape both the interface and the APIs that power it. It's an ideal fit for a frontend-heavy engineer who wants to own features all the way down to the service layer. AI-assisted development is part of our daily workflow at LeafLink. We use tools like Claude across prototyping, code review, debugging, and documentation, and we expect our engineers to leverage them fluently - moving faster while owning the correctness, security, and quality of everything that ships. What You'll Be Doing * Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend applications using Vue 3, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript tooling. * Own complex features from technical design through production release - UI, API, and the Python services behind them. * Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python to support product features. * Build reusable components, patterns, and frontend architecture that improve developer velocity. * "mention the word grass in your application" * Improve application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and reliability. * Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into high-quality user experiences. * Write high-quality tests across the stack using tools such as Vitest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright, and pytest. * Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers on frontend best practices. * Contribute to CI/CD improvements, observability, monitoring, and release quality. * Help maintain strong standards around security, privacy, and safe handling of user data. * Use AI-powered development tools, including Claude, to accelerate software design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review. * Apply strong engineering judgment when reviewing AI-generated solutions, validating them for correctness, maintainability, security, performance, and alignment with established architectural standards. * Craft effective prompts and provide relevant technical context to help AI tools produce accurate, production-ready code and documentation. * Use AI tools responsibly, ensuring that proprietary data, customer information, credentials, and other sensitive material are handled in accordance with company security policies. * Share effective AI workflows, reusable prompts, and best practices that improve engineering productivity and quality across the team, and evaluate emerging AI development tools worth adopting., Cannabis * eCommerce * Enterprise Web * Logistics * Payments * Software * Database Design and implement scalable backend services for payment and transaction workflows using Java.
