## About the Role

+ Strong understanding of manufacturing test environment

 + Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence design team decisions

 + Demonstrated experience solving complex technical problems with minimal assistance

 + Ability to manage multiple projects

 + Expertise in programming automation and data collection

 + Source Code control experience

 + Experience with a variety of General-Purpose Test Equipment use and automation. Including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, DAQs, and Switches.

 + Object Oriented Programming Skills

 + 6-sigma or equivalent statistical, problem-solving methodology

EXPERIENCE:

 + Minimum of 5 years of product test development experience

 + Experience in power supply testing or design

 + Programming experience in NI Labview and TestStand, C++, SQL, and/or Python

EDUCATION:

 + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering discipline

## Description

Advanced Energy is looking for an experienced Test Development Engineer to join our team in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements cost-effective solutions for manufacturing tests for several high frequency, high voltage circuits and systems that ensure high quality standards. The position performs a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks early in the Product Development Process to provide timely, flexible, universal tools and processes. The Test Engineer makes knowledgeable, data-driven decisions and employs innovative technologies with optimal control and maximum speed and flexibility., + Ensures testability and serviceability of new product designs, providing feedback to design teams addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use

 + Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product's lifecycle

 + Accurately estimates project costs and schedules associated with implementing test solutions

 + Owns test requirements from the vendor, to shipment, to the customer

 + Verifies products meet their functional requirements - including design verification and manufacturing screens

 + Analyzes capabilities and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment
