## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, science, engineering, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1-3+ years of experience.
 * Demonstrated hands-on expertise in PCR, DNA sequencing, nucleic acid extraction, library prep, and NGS workflows.
 * Experience with data analysis and automation tools such as MATLAB, Python, Git, or similar.
 * Strong understanding of statistical methods including regression analysis and ANOVA.
 * Proven track record applying Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology and statistical process control.
 * Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes in laboratory or instrument settings.
 * Excellent documentation and adherence to laboratory best practices.

Nice to Have Skills:

 * Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments with minimal supervision.
 * Ability to influence technical decisions and communicate complex concepts clearly.
 * Proven success in solving ambiguous or unpredictable technical challenges.
 * Strong project management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
 * Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Preferred Education & Experience:

 * Degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline combined with experience in NGS or related fields.
 * At least 2 years of experience working with sequencing platforms, lab automation, or bioinformatics.

Additional Requirements:

 * This position is located onsite in Santa Clara, CA; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
 * Willingness to work in a collaborative laboratory environment with potential for occasional travel related to project needs.
