The UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for attorneys, legal professionals, and business-services teams across the firm's portfolio of applications, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow automation initiatives. As a member of the IT Applications Rapid Application Development (RAD) team, the UX Designer transforms business requirements and user insights into engaging, accessible, and efficient digital experiences that improve productivity and adoption., Working closely with the Digital Product Manager, AI Engineer, Full Stack Solutions Engineer, and business stakeholders, the UX Designer participates throughout the product lifecycle-from discovery and ideation through prototyping, usability validation, production implementation, and continuous improvement. The role ensures solutions are designed around user needs while maintaining consistency with the firm's design standards, accessibility requirements, and security expectations., * Collaborate with attorneys, practice groups, and business-services teams to understand user goals, workflows, pain points, and opportunities for digital improvement. * Conduct user research through interviews, observations, surveys, workshops, and usability testing to validate design decisions. * Create user personas, journey maps, service blueprints, workflow diagrams, and information architecture to guide solution development. * Design wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces for web applications, AI assistants, portals, dashboards, and workflow solutions. * Partner with AI engineers to design intuitive AI experiences, including conversational interfaces, prompt flows, review workflows, confidence indicators, and citation experiences. * Design user experiences that incorporate human oversight, transparency, and responsible AI principles. * Work closely with Full Stack Solutions Engineers to ensure designs are feasible, technically sound, and implemented according to specifications. * Develop reusable UI components and contribute to the firm's design system to promote consistency across applications. * Ensure solutions comply with accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design principles, and usability best practices. * Facilitate design reviews with stakeholders and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements. * Conduct usability testing and analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve product adoption and effectiveness. * Prepare developer-ready design specifications, interaction documentation, acceptance criteria, and visual assets. * Participate in Agile/Kanban ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and product demonstrations. * Support product launches through user documentation, training materials, onboarding experiences, and adoption planning. * Monitor user feedback, analytics, and product performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. * Stay current on UX methodologies, AI interaction design, accessibility standards, legal technology trends, and emerging digital design practices. * Other responsibilities as needed.
