Preferred Skills * Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704; ARINC / RTCA experience preferred. * Experience working in Waterfall and/or Agile/Scrum environments. * Background in military training, simulation, or mission-readiness systems, along with experience working on government or DoD-aligned programs. ## Description Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. What You'll Do: * Develop and maintain software for flight and mission simulators, ensuring reliability and performance to train pilots for safe mission outcomes. * Work on legacy code bases critical to simulator functionality, driving modernization through enhancements, and new features while ensuring maintenance, optimization, and stability. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware, ensuring seamless operation for real-time, mission-critical applications. * Contribute to projects using both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, adapting to structured development cycles or iterative sprints as needed. * Write and maintain clean, efficient code, with a focus on real-time systems and simulator performance. * Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional brainstorming to drive innovation within a disciplined development process. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in legacy and real-time systems, ensuring simulators meet the highest standards for pilot training., Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. * Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment * Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility. * Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required. * The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Must be able to perform normal office duties (e.g. sitting for long periods at a desk) * Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS via car and airplane * Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator Salary Range: $125,700-$138,900.00 The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
