U.S. Bank is subject to and conducts background checks consistent with the regulatory requirements applicable to our industry and operations. ## Description The Principal Information Security Engineer will focus on web access information security projects and function as a technical leader with the information security team. Specific job duties include: * Establish technical standards and drive US Bank's overall technical architecture and engineering practices and develop information security products; * Translate business needs into workable technology solutions and produce both detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs; * Define the innovative preventative, detective, and monitoring mechanisms to enable security at scale and identify information security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans; * Deploy enterprise solutions in accordance with solution documentation, including coding and scripting of custom interfaces, workflows, and forms, and various types of pre- and post-implementation testing; * Work directly with software developers to understand their needs and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively, securely, and safely; * Work directly with application teams, partner security teams, and administrative teams to identify opportunities to improve our security posture; * Build tooling, drive process improvements; and * Work with technical owners and cutting-edge technology to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
