Preferred Qualifications: + REACT, Java and Node experience. ## Description As a Lead Application Development Engineer with American Family Insurance you will collaborate with others in the division to provide and maintain applications to meet business needs. Responsible for design and development for complex business solutions, providing technical guidance for specific applications. You will support the Digital Sales Team. You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering - Integration Engineering Department. \#LI-Hybrid Depending on the candidate pool, this position may be filled at a lower level to maintain alignment with experience and qualifications., *Provide expertise during the initial phases of the project including estimating resources, skill requirements, time requirements, identifying technologies, participating in proof of concepts. *Analyze high-level system specifications, our requirements and use cases. *Convert information into the appropriate level specifications and system design plan for the development team. *Understand and identify system dependencies. *Consult with others to validate complex design decisions. Provide advanced coding expertise to mitigate high risk features or technical challenges. *Provide appropriate documentation for design decisions, estimating assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as needed by organization standards. *Define, conduct, mentor others, and participates in testing (i.e. unit, system integration).
