## About the Role

* Proven experience supporting POS systems and retail IT infrastructure.
 * Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex technical assignments.
 * Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, terminals, printers, and network hardware.
 * Experience with EMV payment device installation and support.
 * Excellent written communication skills, including experience drafting SOPs and technical documentation.
 * Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate with non-technical end users.
 * Excellent multi-tasking and time-management skills.
 * Ability to provide clear, concise reporting to management.
 * Must reside in or near Chicago's north side or northern suburbs, or be willing to commute locally without relocation assistance., * Experience in a multi-site retail or distribution environment.
 * Familiarity with network administration and infrastructure design principles.
 * Prior experience in a role supporting both corporate and store-level technology.

## Description

* Design, install, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, terminals, printers, and network devices.
 * Install and support organizational application systems, including EMV payment devices.
 * Maintain and support point-of-sale (POS) systems across retail and distribution environments.
 * Independently resolve complex end-user technical issues, escalating only where appropriate.
 * Provide regular feedback and status reports to management on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
 * Author and maintain clear technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 * Deliver a full range of technical IT support activities across multiple systems and platforms.
 * Support multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 * Partner cross-functionally to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
