## About the Role

* Minimum BSc degree in Computer science or adjacent technical field with 8+ years of relevant professional experience or a Masters Degree.
 * Expert level knowledge of Python
 * Experience with Typescript and React
 * Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse range of talented engineers

Preferred Skills and Experience

 * Experience building developer tools
 * Experience with Linux
 * Experience deploying and scaling applications on cloud services like AWS (lambda is a plus)
 * Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
 * Experience with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or other data processing tools
 * Experience working with Docker development and deployment workflows

Essential Job Duties

 * Scope, design, and implement applications to interact with our robot and the data it generates. Your applications will be used by roboticists, software engineers, clinical engineers, testers and the broader organization
 * Identify opportunities to reduce friction in the software development process and increase engineering velocity.
 * Lead the expansion of internal telemetry and observability tools.
 * Educate internal development teams on how to best leverage available tooling
