This position is responsible for managing both the Technology Support & Infrastructure and Software Solutions Departments., * Responsible for the oversight of all IT functions at ISBE to ensure the operations are effectively managed with the Agency's mission, vision, and goals. * Works with agency leadership to develop strategy, determine priorities, define projects, and develop technology roadmaps to effectively support agency operations. * Communicates technology needs to senior leadership. * Oversees implementation and integration of agency computer system and software applications. * Troubleshoots and finds solutions for technology issues as they arise. * Recommends system and application upgrades as needed. * Responsible for management of Technology Support & Infrastructure and Software Solutions departments; ensures internal and external user needs are being met. * Manages security of information technology. * Assesses risks and implements controls to ensure systems and associated data maintained is secure. * Performs administrative duties associated with procurement. * Oversees and develops the IT budget.
