## About the Role

* 8+ years' experience in data engineering
 * Proven experience setting up or designing data architecture
 * Strong hands-on background in data modelling, ETL and process optimisation
 * Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to translate business questions into technical answers
 * French and English is required for the working environment; Dutch is a strong plus

Nice-to-haves

 * Experience with AML, fraud or regulatory data work in a banking context
 * Exposure to SAS environments and migration work
 * Python experience, especially in a data engineering or migration context
 * Background in financial services, particularly around transactions, accounts or reporting

## Description

This is a hands-on role as much as an architectural one: you will work on data modelling, ETL, process optimisation and automated runs, while collaborating closely with business users, program stakeholders and other data teams., * Translate business requests into data architecture and technical solutions

 * Design, develop and model data flows, including ETL and automated processing
 * Optimise existing processes and improve performance of data runs
 * Support AML-related data work, including scenario and reporting needs
 * Contribute to the SAS migration agenda and possible SAS-to-Python conversion
 * Work through a ticket-based intake process and collaborate directly with end users
 * Partner with analytics, visualisation, predictive and programme stakeholders in a flat, cross-functional team
