## About the Role

+ Strong C++ programming skills
 + Operating systems concepts
 + Experience programming embedded processor systems such as ARM
 + Experience with Machine Vision / Image Processing is a plus
 + Knowledge of different languages/technologies is valued: C#, OpenGL, Javascript
 + Team player
 + Ability to work autonomously.
 + Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 + Fluent in English, to be able to communicate and effectively work with engineers from other locations

## Description

We are looking for a senior software engineer for our office in Girona. The engineer will work closely with the rest of the team to continue developing our 3D smart cameras, including GUI environments to design and visualize inspection tasks, but he will also contribute to the design of a new common platform that will be used to develop future products of the company. The employee will embody the core values of Cognex including: Work Hard, Play Hard and Move Fast.
Your Responsibilities:

 + Design and implement software solutions to program 3D smart cameras (both frontend and backing C/C++ native code libraries).
 + Develop C/C++ on embedded systems such as ARM.
 + Participate on the design of the new common platform technology for future Cognex products
 + Evolve our 3D visualization library
 + Participate in team planning, design discussions and reviews
