## About the Role

* Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases such as:

 * Oracle
 * SQL Server
 * MySQL
 * PostgreSQL
 * Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
 * Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
 * Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
 * Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, or equivalent tools.
 * Understanding of database backup, recovery, and security practices.
 * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
 * Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
 * Certifications in database technologies are a plus.

Nice to Have

 * Python or Shell scripting knowledge.
 * Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
 * Exposure to data warehousing concepts and BI tools.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain relational database systems.
 * Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
 * Develop and optimize database objects for performance and scalability.
 * Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
 * Create and maintain ETL processes for data migration and integration.
 * Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
 * Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and data integrity.
 * Monitor database health and troubleshoot production issues.
 * Support reporting and analytics requirements by creating efficient data structures.
 * Document database architecture, standards, and processes.
 * Participate in code reviews and database deployment activities.
