 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
 * A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies.
 * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

## Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician to join our Computer Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the technology that underpins teaching, learning and business operations across our College.

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will provide first and second-line technical support to staff and students, responding to helpdesk requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies including Microsoft 365, desktop and mobile devices, networking, telephony, AV equipment, printing services and Wi-Fi systems.

Working as part of a supportive and experienced IT team, you will contribute to maintaining a reliable, secure and high-performing IT environment across both Bishop Burton and Riseholme campuses.

 * Providing responsive technical support via the IT helpdesk.
 * Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues.
 * Installing, configuring and maintaining IT equipment and applications.
 * Supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory and a range of college systems.
 * Assisting with the deployment of new hardware, software and desktop images.
 * Supporting AV, telephony, CCTV, printing and wireless network services.
 * Maintaining accurate IT asset and licensing records.
 * Working collaboratively with colleagues and support partners to deliver excellent IT services.
