* Strong commercial T-SQL development experience
 * Excellent SQL Server performance tuning skills
 * Experience interpreting execution plans
 * Strong understanding of indexing, query optimisation, locking and blocking
 * Good knowledge of SQL Server internals
 * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Azure SQL Database experience desirable

* Design, develop and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, functions and complex queries
 * Diagnose and resolve SQL performance issues using execution plans
 * Optimise indexing, query performance, locking and blocking
 * Troubleshoot production database issues across multiple priorities
 * Support controlled database deployments and change management
 * Contribute to the ongoing improvement of a mature Azure SQL platform
