 * 1+ years of software development experience in TypeScript/JavaScript.
 * 1+ years of experience with developing web-based user interfaces in HTML/CSS.
 * Hands-on experience building and maintaining React and Next.js applications.
 * Experience developing computer programs in industry-standard programming environments, with source control via applications such as GitHub
 * Experience working with relational databases and SQL
 * Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations.

## Description

Assist in the development of software applications; and contribute to other research activities within the University of California pavement research center (UCPRC). This position supports the center's engineers, scientists, and other professionals who engage in cutting-edge research supported by Caltrans, Cal EPA, FAA, FWHA, and other industry and governmental sponsors. Specifically, the position assists with plans and designs, develops, modifies, debugs, deploys, and evaluates complex software for the University of California Pavement Research Center. Under general supervision, the incumbent works to enhance the web-based user interface of several software applications, including, but not limited to, user interface testing and fixing, working with other staff to add new forms and features, and assisting with other coding tasks., * 95% - Software maintenance and support, software development, and research activity support for Research Operations
