Our recent team survey showed an average of 55 hours/week, with occasional 70+ hour bursts for major releases. * You are detail obsessed: You have experience writing code that stands up to the unpredictability of the physical world, where the small details are the difference between success and failure. * You are adaptable: We are a lean team. If you only want to work on a "niche thing" or are uncomfortable helping other teams when they need a boost, this isn't the place for you. We expect you to figure out what you need to get stuff done. * You code really well: We mostly use Python and TypeScript, but we don't care what you're most proficient in today as long as you learn fast., * Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. * Portfolio: A track record of building things-be it side projects, open-source contributions, or high-impact internships. * Mindset: You are a "fully formed adult." You don't wait for a manual; you figure out what you need to get stuff done and you do it in a professional manner. You understand that feedback is critical to growth and you welcome it. * Experience: 2 to 6 years of software engineering on a quickly shipping team. We want someone with true end-to-end experience: you've taken products from ideation to production and owned what happens after they ship. ## Description * Public Impact: You will help the software that millions of drivers use to manage their toll accounts: payments, account history, violation disputes, and communications. This has to be as secure and robust as it is intuitive. When a driver gets a toll bill, this is what they see. * Partner integrations: The Back Office team is the connective tissue between Blissway and the outside world. You'll build and maintain integrations with DMVs, mailhouses, and fleet vendors for ACH payment processing. Each integration has its own data contract, compliance constraints, and edge cases. This is early-stage work that requires both technical judgment and the ability to operate without a spec. * Platform & DevOps: Not just the connective tissue to the outside world, but the connective tissue for us as well. That includes deployment tooling, service infrastructure, and the shared standards that let a team of 25 move as fast as we do. If something is painful to stand up or run, that's your problem to fix. * Access & internal tooling: Consolidate how services authenticate and how operators manage access across all Blissway deployments, including a unified management interface for our internal teams., * The Blissway Kitchen: Whether it's breakfast to start your day or our daily group lunches, we keep the team fueled. * Snacks Autonomy: Our kitchen is fully stocked and we mean it-if we're missing your favorite fuel, just add it to the request list. * The "BlissTrip": An annual 3-4 day getaway for the team and significant others. * Monthly Beats: Game nights, escape rooms, and dinners to celebrate the grit we put in. * Continuous Learning: Tuition reimbursement for courses, programs, and conferences that sharpen your craft., Computer Vision * Fintech * Hardware * Internet of Things * Machine Learning * Software * Transportation The Electrical Engineer will design and own PCB projects, collaborating with software and manufacturing teams, ensuring quality and reliability in hardware development.
