## About the Role

* 5+ years of systems engineering experience
 * 5+ years of experience in Middleware Engineering
 * Experience with one or more of the following Middleware products: IIS, .NET Framework, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot, JBoss
 * Experience with release deployment tools such as Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, or BitBucket
 * Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies)
 * DEVOPS experience
 * Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail

Desired skills:

 * 3+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE Middleware Engineer
 * Experience with one or more of the following: Appian, Terraform, Software AG WEB METHODS
 * Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
 * Java/Container Framework experience
 * Experience with a scripting language such as shell, python, powershell, jython, or perl

## Description

* Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities, including OS technical support and systems programming
 * Lead middleware installation, configuration, risk mitigation, performance tuning, and L3 production support
 * Collaborate with application and testing teams, providing middleware advice, consultation, and support
 * Create, maintain, and support application deployment templates
 * Design middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability
 * Provide technical consultation to other team members and communicate with business partners
 * Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases
