Exceptional writing skills, include ability to synthesize policy documents and complex issues for internal and external customers.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or equivalent.

## Description

Experience in program management, enterprise strategy, cybersecurity governance, public policy, Government Affairs, or related disciplines.
Experience managing large, complex programs consisting of multiple concurrent projects and workstreams specifically for information security teams.
Experience partnering directly with executive leadership (CISO, VP, SVP, Legal, Government Affairs).

Primary Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for cybersecurity policy and regulatory initiatives.
Monitor federal cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory developments and assess business impact.
Develop strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
Partner with Cybersecurity, Legal, and Government Affairs leaders to establish policy positions.
Represent the program at executive forums, industry groups, and external stakeholder meetings.
Establish program governance, reporting structures, KPIs, and success metrics.
Drive coordination across multiple projects and project managers.
Anticipate emerging risks, opportunities, and regulatory trends impacting them.
Develop executive-level briefings, position papers, and strategic communications.

This position will be responsible for:
Research federal cybersecurity policies and practices and understand the impact to the company of pending legal or change could impact them.
Track federal policy developments to better support cybersecurity initiatives and recommend (if any) next steps.
Develop systems for tracking interactions with stakeholders, and ensure regular cadence of communication where needed.
Maintain a library of bills and policies related to cybersecurity and collaborate with Government Affairs to maintain sources to guide our impact projections.
Serve as a strategic advisor and leader for public policy position development for cyber security/resiliency issues, including topics such as federal privacy regulations, collaboration of federal governmental agencies and entities.
Actively participate in trade association working groups related to the development of cyber policy.
Represent them in external forums to discuss cyber policy positions and perspectives.
Partner with leaders within Government Affairs and legal to develop public policy positions.
Identify issues, develop policy positions in a collaborative manner and report on progress.
Represent and advocate for the company's cybersecurity policy positions on issues affecting our strategy and posture, leveraging existing lobbying practices.
Identify, anticipate, and advise on political and legislative developments, risks and opportunities in cybersecurity, in concert with internal government affairs team.
Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
Develops and vets strategic initiatives by conducting quantitative analysis, research, and risk assessment; presents recommendations to senior management.
Steers strategic business initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Coordinates input from across the enterprise to integrate business plans, best practices, and global perspectives.
Leads and facilitates high-stakes meetings and workshops with meticulous planning.
Provides hands-on support and expert advice to leadership to transform ideas into reality and enhance team efficiency.
Establishes key performance indicators to measure and improve organizational performance.
Acts on behalf of the CISO - Chief of Staff to manage inquiries and complete special projects with skillful oversight.
Pinpoints and addresses core issues within business processes, identifying areas for improvement and making actionable recommendations.
