## About the Role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or other STEM-related field.
 * 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
 * 5+ years of coding experience.
 * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
 * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
 * Excellent skills in problem-solving and communication, both verbal and written.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:

 * Experience in a highly regulated industry such as health care or finance.
 * Experience with agile methodologies.
 * Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Experience in application software development

## Description

With a "document first" approach, this role will architect digital transformation solutions; partner with teams across the organization to modernize their applications and infrastructure; and shape future technology at Interactive Brokers. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic influence and mentoring others while delivering innovative solutions for a global leader in financial technology.

About Your Team:

This role is a member of the Enterprise Architecture organization and responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of systems and applications.

What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

 * Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and conduct proof-of-concept work on new technologies.
 * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
 * Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on-call rotation.
 * Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
 * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
 * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
