Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Design Engineer - Dynamic Engineering - **Company:** NDI Engineering Company - **Location:** Toms River, NJ, United States - **Salary:** $72,000.0 - $95,000.0 - **Contract:** Internship / Graduate position - **Skills:** Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, 3d Models, Computer-Aided Design, AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Software Design Documents, Microsoft Software, Adobe, StormCAD Modeling Software, HydroCAD Software - **Published:** August 1, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.careerjet.com/job/us28f3e7d8a02b788f650a0763a17ab517/eaa ## About the Role * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. * Relevant Internship experience preferred. * 0-4 years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience). * Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred. * Valid driver's license. * Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle. * Familiar with the use of AutoCAD to assist in the production of site plan drawings. * General knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software. * General knowledge of the planning and zoning process. * General knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic and Stormwater Design. * Design and drafting capabilities. * Grading and drainage design skills. * Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals. * General knowledge of the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes. * General knowledge of the following design tools for site engineering: * AutoCAD Civil3D * Hydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack * Hydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) * HEC-RAS * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. * General knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Independent and critical thinking abilities. * Self-starter who can work independently and with team members. ## Description The Design Engineer is responsible for the due diligence investigations as well as preliminary design and engineering analyses of various types of retail, commercial, industrial, and residential site layouts throughout regions where we do business.
