Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing., Requires a high school diploma or a GED, Three (3) years customer service experience working in an environment providing or supporting technology services., **Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.** Experience providing programming and services in a library setting. * Proficient computer skills working with both hardware and software; * Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds; * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others; * Experience working with children and families; and * To better serve our diverse communities, fluency in a foreign language is highly preferred ## Description The Houston Public Library seeks an energetic, customer service-oriented individual to provide quality customer service and technology-focused instruction to a diverse customer base as the Senior Library Technology Specialist at a TECHLink location.
