Work Environment: This is a true systems engineering role with no direct software development duties. Travel is minimal and not required, though opportunities may be available for SWFTS operational demos and program office meetings. ## Description Nature of Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to serve as a key Point of Contact (POC) for the AN/BYG-1 Combat System program. This individual will provide critical Technical Direction Authority (TDA) Systems Engineering support, leading the management, definition, and verification of system requirements. The successful candidate will initially chair the Requirements, Architecture, and Design Working Group (RADWG), coordinating between various engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful development and delivery of combat system capabilities. This is a significant growth opportunity for future leadership positions, offering close collaboration with senior leadership across the AN/BYG-1 program, SWFTS, and PMS 425 Responsibilities: but are not limited to: * Working Group Leadership: Serve as the Chair for the Requirements, Architecture, and Design Working Group (RADWG) and its Scrum of Scrums (SoS). Responsibilities include managing agendas, facilitating technical discussions, tracking action items, and disseminating minutes. Requirements: * Ability to Obtain/maintain SECRET Clearance. * Maintain and track the status of system features and Capability Items (CI) using BYG JIRA. * Review and manage technical content for Feature Design Descriptions (FDD), waivers, and Block Problem Change (BPC) documentation. * Ensure technical content aligns with design packages and that subsystem/variant applicability is consistent across all tracking systems. Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting: * Attend the SWFTS Execution Working Group (ExWG) and create/present status briefings to the Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (SEIPT) and RADWG. * Serve as the primary liaison for all BYG-1 requirements, from top-level documents (CDD, FRD, PSPEC) through to contractor-derived specifications (SSS/SRS/Use Cases). * Identify, articulate, and manage technical risks through the RADWG, SEIPT, and the PMS425 Risk Management Board (RMB). Technical Review & Oversight: * Conduct technical reviews of contractor-derived requirements, software products, and engineering artifacts to ensure quality and readiness for fleet delivery. * Act as a PSPEC Coordinator and technical reviewer for key subsystems including TCS, PCS, NDIs, and IA. * Hands-on Lab Work: Perform hands-on tasks in the lab to maintain expertise on existing baselines and learn new features as they are implemented.
