## About the Role

* Intermediate Knowledge of the OSI Model.
 * Intermediate knowledge of TDM, SONET ,DWDM and other Transport fundamentals.
 * Intermediate knowledge of Network Equipment configuration and troubleshooting

 * Intermediate knowledge of IP troubleshooting procedures to include NE configuration, VLANS, Static and DHCP IP addressing, email/hosting, DNS and DSLAMS
 * Intermediate knowledge in troubleshooting procedures Voice switching systems.
 * Experience working in a Service Provider, ISP, Carrier, or Telecommunications environment.
 * NOC II or NOC III level experience.
 * Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching within service provider networks.
 * Experience supporting backbone network infrastructure.
 * Hands-on experience with:

 * BGP (Border Gateway Protocol)
 * MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)
 * VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Service)
 * Experience using SolarWinds for network monitoring and troubleshooting.
 * Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
 * Experience troubleshooting network outages, latency, and routing issues.
