## About the Role

10+ years of software engineering, software development, or technical operations experience

 - 4+ years of engineering management experience
 - Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams (10+ engineers preferred)
 - Strong Agile/Scrum experience
 - eCommerce industry experience (4+ years preferred)
 - Experience delivering scalable, customer-facing applications
 - Strong software engineering fundamentals, including code reviews, SDLC, testing, deployment, and security best practices

Hands-on experience with:

 - JavaScript / Node.js
 - .NET / C#
 - REST APIs
 - Microservices
 - Databases & message queues

 - Microsoft Azure experience
 - Experience designing and supporting enterprise applications
 - Knowledge of DevOps practices and modern software delivery processes
 - Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
 - Ability to balance business needs with technical decision-making

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

 - Salesforce Commerce Cloud
 - B2C eCommerce platform experience
 - OMS, PIM, ERP, or CRM experience
 - Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Service Desk)
 - AI/Generative AI experience or interest
 - Experience partnering with SRE, Platform, and Operations teams
 - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field

## Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of approximately 10 software engineers supporting a large-scale eCommerce platform. This role combines people leadership, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, high-quality customer-facing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background, experience leading Agile development teams, and a proven track record delivering enterprise-level eCommerce solutions. This leader will partner closely with Product, QA, Operations, SRE, and Platform teams while helping drive the organization's ongoing AI transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineers, driving technical and strategic initiatives, improving development processes, overseeing solution delivery, supporting hiring efforts, and ensuring applications meet high standards for scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
