## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or other related discipline
 * Extensive experience with a high-level language
 * Some of this experience should be in Golang, however an interest in Golang and experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java is suitable.
 * Experience developing robust and scalable enterprise-grade code.
 * Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solutions to the wider team
 * Experience using software design patterns
 * Extensive experience in a software engineering environment is a plus
 * Familiarity with any of the below: Source control using Git; Jira for issue tracking; Make, Docker/k8s/Cloud Providers, SQL Databases
 * Continuous Integration technologies such as GitLab CI
 * Cross-platform development experience (Windows and Linux)

## Description

Work within the development team to extend and expand upon the features and capabilities for one of the products in our data analytics portfolio.

 * Be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for features within our products
 * Work with colleagues in the development team and other stake holders to understand and gather requirements as they arise
 * Transfer that understanding into well architected, scalable Golang coded solutions. This will be where most of your time will be spent.
 * Support the wider product team regarding software issues and questions that arise within the business and from customers
 * Work with the technical authoring team to aid their production of technical content
